Tips

  • Sure, you can get artisan cheese, pastries and preparedfoods at this family market, but the best dish could be on the patio whereyou might spy stars like Jake Gyllenhaal mid-bite.
  • Fresh seasonal food. I love to go there for breakfast and have the organic soft boiled eggs. -Malika Ameen, Top Chef Just Desserts
  • Easily my favorite lunch spot in LA! -Kate Bosworth
  • Chocolate Coconut Cupcake...yum
  • There are THREE locations with cash registers (the deli case, the middle of the marketplace and the bakery). Look for wherever has the shortest line, you can order any food from any register!!
  • If you can find parking, Joan's is great for their cheese selection, salads, and sandwiches (the meatloaf shouldn't be missed).
  • Make sure you bring your bank account.
  • Bakery, larder, cafe. Breakfast, brunch, lunch. Its impossible to go wrong.
  • The menu changes daily, keeping both celebrities and busy moms on the run returning to this cafe day after day. Indulge in moist cupcakes with sky-high icing on top to satisfy your sweet tooth.
  • Excellent coffee and incredible fine food to go. Gorgeous brunch, baked goods, and ingredients for your next dinner party.
  • The best vanilla cupcake you'll ever eat
  • If Dean & DeLuca and The Grey Dog had a love child...
  • Must-haves: For breakfast, the Egg Basket omelet with asparagus and goat cheese or the house-made granola parfait; for lunch, Joans Turkey Meatloaf or the croque monsieur cant be beat.
  • Dont miss out on the Farro and Butternut Squash salad. - Debi Mazar, Extra Virgin
  • Prosciutto de Parma on French baguette
  • Nomnomnom.
  • LA, CA. Great gourmet marketplace/ lunch spot near our Melrose store. You must get the salad trio.
  • Nice fancy place, u'll feel like you're in paris for breakfast. We've ordered egg Benedict which was ok, French toast was very tasty and pancakes was excellent, the coffee hmm not their strongest one.
  • Southwest salad and short ribs sandwich
  • Great place for breakfast, lunch and people watching.
