Foursquare Tips

  • Come to sample Jar and others at this years Gold Standard on 3/6/11! http://bit.ly/iaPthT
  • Featured in LA Weekly's 99 Essential Restaurants!
  • Featured in LA Weekly's "L.A.'s Best Cocktails: Our 55 favorites and where to find them." (Click 'More Info')
  • Specialties include pot roast, Kansas City steaks and an iceberg wedge salad frosted with blue cheese. Dont forget to try the chicken with kaffir lime leaf, either.
  • You must try the crab deviled eggs for an appetizer. And the chocolate pudding for dessert otherwise you really haven't experienced Jar :)
  • Any place in town can broil an acceptable filet mignon, but Suzanne Tracht's snazzy steak house is a blast from the Mad Men '60s... and there's s always banana cream pie for dessert!
  • Go to Jar and have the best rib-eye in Los Angeles.
  • Get the prime-grade ribeye with melted herb butter & sided with grilled onion - grilled with charred edges & a medium sear. For sides kimchi stir-fried with brussels sprouts or slightly crisped fries.
  • Wine tasting.... While burger eating. Helps to know the bartender :) x
  • The banana cream pie will change your life...
  • Sit with Margo at the bar, have a glass of wine, potato chips w/horseradish and the pot roast. You will NOT leave disappointed.
  • Look out for the awful parents who allow their spoiled children to watch iPhones at full volume while eating brunch. LA parents can be embarrassing sometimes - management needs to do something
  • Jar's signature pot roast - need we say more?
  • Let Top Chef Master Chef Suzanne Tracht come to your home and orchestrate a three-course feast paired with hand-selected varietals: your next dinner party is in the running for fte of the year.
  • Nice restaurant but not the best for steaks in LA
  • Jar takes everything that was great about old Los Angeles glamour and blends it seamlessly with much of what we love about modern dining. The steaks are pretty awesome, too.
  • It bills itself as a modern chophouse, but Suzanne Trachts Beverly Boulevard restaurant, Jar, encompasses all thats great about steakhouses, both the old- and the new-school versions.
  • Felt like an elderly crowd but food was delicious.
  • Check out Jar as seen on Best Thing I Ever Ate
  • Some people we know have never even tried the steak here - the glorious pot roast and the various and sundry wonders of the duck-fried rice are just too compelling.
