Tips

  • Adjacent to the Sunken Garden Theater in Brackenridge Park, features beautiful floral displays, a waterfall and a habitat for Koi and aquatic plants.
  • Absolutely love this place. So beautiful & peaceful. Even better, it's free.
  • Take a moment to relax in the shade of the rock house which is the oldest standing structure in this lush garden, built in 1915 by artist Kimi Eizo Jingu.
  • With various flowers, waterfalls, and trees, the Japanese Tea Gardens serves as an excellent location for wedding shoots, senior portraits, prom photos, and more! Daily tours are offered as well.
  • These gardens are a well-kept San Antonio secret, but they're beautiful and free. If you're making a special trip, call ahead as they sometimes close for special events.
  • Beautiful... But can be very hot if you go at the wrong time. Bring water and some type of shade... For example: cap or an umbrella... :-)
  • Lovely and peaceful, even on a Sunday afternoon. The flowers were not particularly exotic but the design of the gardens was beautifully done.
  • Gardens beauty
  • Sper relajante :)
  • Great Date Destination. Nice little tea shop located within.
  • Though well-hidden and, during the summer months, hot, these beautiful gardens are the secret gem of the San Antonio park scene. The park houses several plaques explaining its rich history.
  • Really beautiful. Come in when the weather is cool.
  • Eat at the cafe and get the teas and muffins!
  • Giant Koi!!!
  • Lovely place! Also, dang, those koi are enormous.
  • Amazing place!
  • This is an amazing place and will alway be a favorite because the love of my life proposed to me here on 9/24/11! Don't miss the beautiful pavilion view. Don't feed the wildlife though!
  • lugar obligado para conocer, un paraso dentro de una ciudad, quedan pocos
  • The scenery is so beautiful. The energy is so relaxing.
  • Gorgeous! Great place to take photos and just stroll through the garden on a beautiful day.
