Tips

  • The back patio is great on late summer nights!
  • All of the employees are Irish according to website......so not true, lol.
  • The Pub owners boast their authenticness, all of the employees are Irish right down to the kitchen staff. Order one of the current Irish beers on tap.
  • Feed your growing bones with a shepherd's pie or (heck, and) some Guinness Beef Stew. You'll have the base you need to survive a long night of hard drinking here. To drink? Go for Smithwick's.
  • Go on Tuesday for trivia night... Come early and grab a good table so you won't have to deal with the crowds
  • Places such as the James Joyce were formerly choked with the haze of cigarette smoke. Smoking is now banned in all restaurants and bars in the city.
  • The Gaelic Burger - I don't know what they mix into the beef, but it is spectacular!
  • The Gaelic burger is yummy!
  • We are here on Stout night . Beer is wonderful. Irish Stew is to die for
  • Awesome trivia on Tuesdays, but it can get pretty cramped inside. Great selection of beers
  • Great Durham Toddy, but don't sit near the windows up front it's freezing in winter!
  • Your best bet for a solid whiskey sour.
  • Service is excellent here my bartender even turned the fryers on to make me late night food!
  • Great place to sit on the back patio and watch someone perform
  • hot toddys with are a great way to warm up!
  • Great Atmosphere!
  • Head out back if the weather is good!
  • Fish & Chips: tasty, but too much garlic.
  • Best whiskey sour around and the staff are pretty awesome
  • There is always a drunk Asian girl that sings Biggie... Be on the look out
