  • Very quiet and intimate shochu & sak bar near London Terrace Gardens. Mini Uni Ikura Don & Aji cucumber sashimi salad r my best .
  • Order the spicy cucumber. I was coming here for three years before I thought to do that.
  • put your name on a bottle of kappa no (a sweet potato shochu) and have them keep it behind the bar for future visits. drink on the rocks when you're in the 'hood with a friend (good for three months;
  • An excellent Chelsea izakaya; grab beers before you dive into the menu's cooked dishes, like takoyaki or monkfish liver.
  • Enjoy the great music and food at this classic Japanese Izakaya.
  • Pork ramen is delicious. It is kind of small though.
  • You can buy bottles of sake or shochu and they save the leftovers for your next visit.
  • Get the Lichee martini - best in NYC!
  • Ridiculously awful service. Our waiter messed up every order for our party of 6 and took forever to correct it.

  • Get a bottle of shozu late at night or on Tues. at half price. If you don't finish they will put your name on it and keep it behind the bar for next time. Try some fresh fruit mixers with it.
  • Great little izakaya. Get the cod in banana leaf. Can't go wrong with the nigiri also.
  • The sushi is okay here but they have an amazing sesame agadashi tofu, hibiki whiskey, kirin on tap & an amazing lychee cocktail. it's farm to tableesque japanese, making their own tofu/sauces in house

  • A little slice of heaven on earth. One of the most incredibly well curated sake and shochu menus - try Summer Snow. Their tofu is homemade try the agedashi tofu. Loved the seaweed salad and Momo!
  • Big fan of the hamachi kama grilled yellowtail collar and the tako wasa (raw octopus marinated with wasabi). Impressive sake and sochu menu too!
  • Amazing place- get lychee martini is the best !!
