Tips

  • Has a dramatic outdoor space, with a tree and vines climbing the walls. Tony Chittum's cooking leans Southern Italian and Greek, with a wine program from Brent Kroll, and cocktails from Jeff Faile.
  • A really cool and intimate place to take your bae or baes.
  • Had a mix of small plates. Blue crab bruschetta was amazing.
  • Find a seat in the garden and enjoy a Greek-themed a la carte menu.
  • Loved this place great ambiance. I sat in the bar alley which was nice the also have an out door patio which will have tables during summer. A great romantic escape in the city!
  • Iron Gate was amazing. Delicious tasting menu & fabulous wine selection. AMAZING date location.
  • The new, updated Iron Gate is better than ever with Chef Anthony Chittum in the kitchen. Don't miss the sesame-crusted grilled feta or the crispy sweetbreads if they are on the menu when you go.
  • Dont think twice: order the gnocchi.
  • Great tapas but really small portions
  • The Caramelized Ricotta Gnocchi is literally the best thing Ive ever eaten at any restaurant. This is worth the trip alone.
  • Such a cute space. Cant wait to return
  • Family table is a great deal, lots of fun.
  • Some beautiful seating areas and solid, though kinda overpriced Greek fare. Carrot app was a highlight
  • Sesame crusted feta was amazing. The patio space is beautiful.
  • The food was very good and they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Service was excellent and the handwritten birthday card at the end was a beautiful touch.
  • Really good food and drinks. Beware that its tapas style, so youll pay $16 for a cup of gnocchi or one piece of octopus tentacle or four oysters. But the food really is good.
  • Outside seating if it is warm outside
  • Nice place for a wine in DC.
  • Beautiful interior, good food! Limited choices for vegetarians, nothing for vegans. grilled carrots & beer salad were amazing! Cannelloni was ok, except of (canned) tomato sauce. Great service.
  • Great place...unique style and cuisine
