Introducing: Food Events Calendar And Weekly Free Food Roundups

At Princeton, the amount of free food you can find on campus is abundant almost to the point of absurdity. Between RCA study breaks, residential college study breaks, club events, open mics, and the constant emails on the free food listserv, one can easily feel overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of food one can consume without spending a dollar.

This is where we at Spoon come in. As an organization dedicated to the discussion of food on campus, Spoon is here to guide you through this wonderful, wacky world of complimentary consumption at Princeton.

And so, from this week on, Spoon will be maintaining a calendar of all food related events on campus. This calendar, which can be found under the "Events" section in the top right corner of the webpage (located on the black bar under the "about" tab), will serve as your ultimate guide for culinary happenings of the week.

Starting this week, we will also be posting a weekly roundup to point your attention to Spoon-approved highlights from the calendar. This upcoming weekend looks to be dominated by the Asian cultural organizations, as the Chinese Students Association, the Taiwanese American Students Association, and the Korean American Students Associations all have their own events planned.

Highlights:

CSA Around the World in 80 Minutes

CSA is putting on its second annual celebration of multicultural foods/activities, with contributions from Arab Society, Black Students Union, Latinos Y Amigos, and pretty much every other cultural organization on campus. Come to Campus Club on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm for a wide variety of foods around the world and performances by Koleinu, CHIME and V-Tone.

TASA All You Can Make

Come to the Dod Basement on Friday at 8:30pm to cook (and eat, of course) with TASA, JSA, CSA, and VSA.

K-Cook Off

From 1pm to 2:30pm this Saturday, KASA will be holding a cooking competition in Campus Club for aspiring chefs wishing to flex their culinary skills for a chance to win prizes.
