Tips
- Although San Francisco isn't a sushi town, per se, even the snobbiest raw fish fans adore Ichi, serving inventive, pristine sashimi, specialty rolls and more. [Eater 38 Member]
- Try the Beef Tataki
- Oh man. Sit at the counter if you can-- Tim will hook you up with some off-menu fresh catch if you only ask! Also, definitely try the yellowtail collar. Yum!
- Sit at the bar and let Timmy take care of you. Always the best!
- The spicy tuna roll is the best I have had in the city! Small and intimate Ichi is hip without being pretentious.
- Omakase is amazing! Best sushi ever! So fresh , so tasty!
- Get the wagyu sushi. Everything is excellent, including the rolls. I hate California rolls everywhere else, but this one was so delicious.
- Seriously outstanding sushi... we just asked the waitress to bring us her recommendations and the meal was incredible.
- Sit at the bar, the chefs are awesome.
- Chris Chris Chris - sit at the bar and ask for Chris!
- Delicious fresh fish prepared beautifully, but with sub par table service, this place isn't worth it
- Best service of any place I've been in recent memory.
- Umi Masu Kawa is unreal. Knowledgable service, and well worth the longer wait time for the sushi. Get as many specials as you can.
- Try the Seared Pork
- Fresh fish. Lots of sauce that was a bit overpowering. Small portions.
- $140 omakase was kinda gross
- Omakase all day err day.
- The ocean trout is very tasty.
- Omakase at the counter with Tim.
- While the menu emphasizes nigiri, omakase service is available. The fish is complemented by a variety of citrus, salts, and house-made ponzu in flavors. Trust us, you wont miss the soy sauce.
