  • Although San Francisco isn't a sushi town, per se, even the snobbiest raw fish fans adore Ichi, serving inventive, pristine sashimi, specialty rolls and more. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Try the Beef Tataki
  • Oh man. Sit at the counter if you can-- Tim will hook you up with some off-menu fresh catch if you only ask! Also, definitely try the yellowtail collar. Yum!
  • Sit at the bar and let Timmy take care of you. Always the best!
  • Try the Seared Pork
  • The spicy tuna roll is the best I have had in the city! Small and intimate Ichi is hip without being pretentious.
  • Omakase is amazing! Best sushi ever! So fresh , so tasty!
  • Get the wagyu sushi. Everything is excellent, including the rolls. I hate California rolls everywhere else, but this one was so delicious.
  • Seriously outstanding sushi... we just asked the waitress to bring us her recommendations and the meal was incredible.
  • Sit at the bar, the chefs are awesome.
  • Chris Chris Chris - sit at the bar and ask for Chris!
  • Delicious fresh fish prepared beautifully, but with sub par table service, this place isn't worth it
  • Best service of any place I've been in recent memory.
  • Umi Masu Kawa is unreal. Knowledgable service, and well worth the longer wait time for the sushi. Get as many specials as you can.
  • Best sushi I've had hands down. The sashimi is perfectly prepared and fresh!
  • Really enjoyed the clams and pork in miso broth! The Hokkaido uni is also quite delectable.
  • 7x7 says: Kama Shioyaki
  • Best sushi in town. Check out the Ni Bar, they are all the best! #nibar #ichi
  • Nothing to write home about... Fish was fresh but tiny, and ponzu on everything. :/
  • Best sushi hands down! Try the sea bream.
