  • This zoo is the only zoo in the US that was established by grants by a sovereign monarch. In the zoo you can find over 1,230 animals that are all in specially placed habitats.

  • Honolulu Zoo may be the best family fun value in town. The Keiki Zoo is a family favorite. Check it out if you're in Waikiki.

  • It's worth it to get an annual membership...$40 for 2 adults or 1 adult & 1 child (3 & older). Kama'aina adult admission is $8 each.

  • Consider joining the zoo as a member. Crazy affordable and you also get discounts at the concession stand.
  • The zoo allows you to bring in your own food and drinks, so plan accordingly and enjoy a picnic under the trees.
  • Hyenas and baboons share a cage one at a time. They change in the late afternoon. Go then to see both
  • A pretty nice zoo. Be smart and come early in the morning to see the big animals. By mid-afternoon they'll all be asleep.
