Tips

  • The only thing better than learning about the 32nd President is learning about his kick-ass wife!
  • In June of 1939, President & Mrs. Roosevelt, along with President Roosevelt's mother, Sarah, hosted a lunch for Britain's King George VI and the Queen Mother here. On the menu: hot dogs.
  • As I visited the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt I can't help to imagine what it was like when he lived there. I walked down a hallway where he had been. An interesting piece of our history.
  • Keep your eyes out for the letter from Einstein. Theres a lot to read, so give yourself plenty of time. Its well maintained and sparkling clean.
  • Such a great place to learn about FDR and his incredible wife. Such a beautiful house. The tour is wonderful. Don't go on a rainy day...

  • House is interesting in its simplicity. Library Museum is a great look at the president and the times he and his wife lived in.

  • Must see. 1st Presidential Library built next to where FDR was raised. The home is like a step back in time with all its original furnishings. His resting place is in the Rose Garden.
