Uber Is Giving Riders Free Easter Candy This Week

The only thing better than an Uber driver who offers you complimentary gum or water is one who offers you free candy. And if you live in a handful of major cities, your Uber ride might be getting a little sweeter: Hershey's has partnered with both Uber and a mobile vending company called Cargo to provide free Easter candy to riders using the Uber app.

25 Chain Restaurants Open on Easter

Over the past several months, more and more Ubers have become equipped with Cargo machines, which offer popular candies, snacks, chargers and headphones to riders for a price. Starting April 15, Uber riders in select cities who get in Uber cars (not any other ride sharing app) with Cargo machines will receive free samples of Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs and Cadbury Creme Eggs in honor of the Easter holiday.

Participating cities include New York City, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami and Dallas. According to Mashable, the free candy is only available while supplies last — and while you won't know if the car you're riding in has Cargo before you get in, you'll be able to see the candy sitting in the center console if it does.

Honestly, a lot of holiday candy is trash. But luckily, both Reese's and Cadbury eggs scored pretty high on our ranking of popular Easter candies from worst to best.
