  • Get the beef kakuni. The meat is very soft and quite delicious.
  • Faves: agedashi tofu, obanzai, vegetable futomaki, Orion beer, sushi counter seats, no attitude, good service.
  • Definitely the best miso soup I have ever had...
  • One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in New York. Low key, awesome service. Must order the Obanzai (daily appetizer specials).
  • Best-kept secret in Cobble Hill. Excellent agedashi tofu and Kyoto-style sushi.
  • Fresh tofu is worth a try.
  • Super fresh sushi served on ice. The staff is SO nice here.
  • While the obanzai are the highlight, Hibino also has the best sushi in the 'hood - small delicate portions, perfectly seasoned rice, fresh fish.
  • Homemade Tofu and tofu custard will make believers out of the heartiest meat eater. Tofu done well is amazing. And just get all the Obanzai, why not?
  • Order the house made tofu cold and any of the hako pressed sushi varieties available. Personal favorites are the salmon and the unago.
  • Enjoy meals like the tekka don--soy marinated tuna sashimi over a bowl of rice, topped with a shredded egg omelet--or sample the fresh-made tofu http://www.nycgo.com/slideshows/must-see-cobble-hill/10
  • Get the tofu!! It's made here so it's very fresh!
  • have te beef kataki. braised short ribs
  • Pro tip: they don't do delivery themselves, but you can order from Postmates
  • Really a special, cozy Kyoto-style sushi restaurant. I recommend going off-menu for the daily-special sushi, sashimi, rolls, and most importantly, Obanzai (not to be missed)
  • Yep, this shit is good. Do the tofu cold. Not a tofu guy in general but its special here. Then get whatever the hell is on the chalkboard and shut your mouth.
  • Wow. Hard to come by good sashimi in Brooklyn, let alone Manhattan. This place is so good. Also great space.
  • I like the sashimi plate
  • Everything is great here! Get the fresh-made tofu, seaweed salad, hako sushi, Kyoto-style futomaki, and any specials of the day!
  • Fresh, authentic sushi. Tomo the sushi chef is the best!
