Respected leader in health and pesticide free farming, joins Grow Pod to help provide world-changing technologies that improve production while safeguarding the planet.
CORONA, Calif., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Grow Pod Solutions, the developer of portable, automated, clean indoor growing environments, announced that Mieko Perez, a respected leader in health, wellness, and pesticide free organic farming, has joined the company's Advisory Board. Perez will help the company continue its mission of providing products and solutions that break old methodologies, by providing highly innovative and productive, Earth-friendly methods of farming.
Grow Pod Solutions has developed the world's most advanced technology for commercial indoor farming.
Perez is the cofounder of UF4A.org, (the Unconventional Foundation for Autism), which provides information and support for families with children on the autism spectrum. In 2012, Mieko received the Evelyn DuPont Award for improving the lives of children with special needs. She also received special recognition from Congress for the many hours of community service and dedication she has given to helping families, autism organizations, universities, and healthcare professionals.
Perez is also a proponent of Veganic pesticide-free organic farming, an approach to growing that encompasses a respect for animals, the environment, and human health. Veganic pesticide-free organic farming goes beyond traditional organic farming. Organic farmers are permitted to use animal products as fertilizers, such as manure, blood meal, bone meal, feather meal, and fish emulsion, but these animal products are often obtained from intensive farms and slaughterhouses. Not only does large-scale animal farming have a heavy impact on the environment, but most animals are kept in highly confined conditions and are exposed to a variety of contaminants. Veganic pesticide-free organic farming agriculture breaks the link between livestock operations and the production of organic plant-foods by maintaining fertility using plant-based techniques.
"We are pleased that Mieko has joined our Advisory Board, and we look forward to her contributions," said George Natzic, President of Grow Pod Solutions. "Her knowledge about health and wellness, and her advocacy for farm-to-table growing techniques, will advance our mission to become the leader in world-changing agricultural technologies that improve our planet for future generations."
