Griff’s Pub, which opened earlier this year, brings something different to the area by being one of the few gastropubs Downriver. Neighbors know Griff’s address as the spot where Big Apple Bagels used to be on Southfield Rd in Allen Park, MI. Serving up English style pub food with an upscale spin, this gastropub even makes their own “weekly sausage.” See how they ranked.

Nothing like a nice cold, refreshing Summer Shandy!
The Lamb Burger: Seasoned combo of lamb and beef, goat cheese, vine ripened tomatoes, red onion, cherry peppers, dill tzatziki. You had me at goat cheese and dill tzatziki! This burger was juicy and flavorful. The lamb was delicious and the red onion added a nice crunch and bite. Dill goes great with lamb, but this creamy, tangy tzatziki was a nice finishing touch.
The dining space is small, but nice. Service was good and the staff was very knowledgeable and even offered a few recommendations. Griff’s Pub takes casual, simple classis, and elevates their flavors, turning them into upscale dishes. With a full bar, craft beers, and seasonal drinks, Griff’s offers an advantage over local bars and restaurants. I can’t wait to go back and try the roasted garlic!
