Tips

  • In the 18th century the park was notorious for highwaymen and Horace Walpole was one of many robbed here. Handels Music for the Royal Fireworks was composed for an event here in 1749.
  • The green, triangle-shaped expanse of leafy land just beyond the Ritz is Green Park.
  • One of the trees is supposed to be very, very haunted. Have never discovered which one, though.

  • First Saturday of each month: Pugs everywhere!
  • Enjoy the day, have a picnic, read a book, jog, meditate, sunbathe....
  • Lovely park, one of the best spots for picnic and sunbathing. Very close to Buckingham palace.
  • Here's realy wonderful!
  • It's very dark in the dark
  • The picnic chairs are cheap at 1.50 per hour. Nice way to enjoy the rare British Sun
  • I love this place!
  • Lindo parque, quando tem um solzinho, todo mundo deita na grama e curte o sol
  • Nice in the summer for a picnic :)
  • In summer, fill up on (slightly overpriced) M&S food, from opposite the station, lay back, have a picnic and look at the lovely mix of civil servants, businessmen, tourists and sly Londoners.
  • I was very impressive to see here. I love this park!
  • Such a nice place to walk and get in touch with nature!
  • You are sitting in one of London's Royal Parks! But before it was given the royal stamp of approval it was a famous haunt for highwaymen and thieves.
  • Great place
  • Little bit dirty place as there are many pigeons and dogs peeing and pooing everywhere. Especially, do not sit near the trees which dogs tend to pee However, on sunny days, good place to go and relax.
  • Beautiful park with "green park" tube station in one side & Buckingham palace on the other side.During summer, crowded with people enjoying sun and their dogs. Just lay down under a tree & relax.
