With St Paddy's Day 'round the corner, I find myself drawn to all things green and gold.
And ever since this post last year, I have been itching to get to style a simple green tablescape with pretty shiny accents!
Plus, it also gives me an excuse to use my recent metallic tableware acquisitions ;)
Golds and copper accents have been a feature in so many tablescapes since a couple of years now, and St Paddy's Day offers the perfect opportunity to show off your shiny pretties!
My gold flatware are from here and the copper tumblers are coming to the shop soon!
DIY Green & Metallic Tablescape IdeasDIY Table CenterpieceWhenever I style a tablescape, the centerpiece is my no. 1 project. Be it a full DIY or a simple table arrangement, it defines the space I'm about to style and helps guide me towards the other elements of the table decor.
For this table, I simply added a little potted fern to a DIY metallic stripes vase.
I'll be sharing a DIY for the metallic vase on the blog soon, so stay tuned!
DIY Drinks stirrersI believe in adding texture to a table as you do to an outfit. So I tend to mix and match different materials and fabrics, like this velvet bottle green ribbon used as a straw decorations.
I love to use straws as stirrers! Hello double-duty ;)
You simply can't get simpler!
Just be sure to vary the colors to suit your table palette. Plus, you could also make votives as party favors for guests to take home! How cute would that be?! :)
DIY Party Table Decor & FavorsEven if I DIY nothing else, I make sure there's a handmade details in each place setting. Most of the time it only consist of packaging something cute in pretty wrapping.
The votives above would be a great favor to adorn each place setting, but if pushed for time; then these cute DIY "pots of gold" filled with chocolate coins would also go down a treat with guests!
The DIY is coming later in the week. Lucky you! ;)
Hope you enjoy the ideas and if you have a go, don't forget to tag #BirdsPartyTweeps on Instagram and social so we can share your creations! :)
