Foursquare Tips

  • bar menu, lobster tacos, bargain at $5
  • Go to Grace and order the $6 Cheeseburger off the bar menu. It's only 4oz, but it's the best burger that you will ever eat!Goes well with a pint of Ten Pennies Ale.
  • Plan for a cab if you get the "old fashioned"
  • Brandy & Barry are great! Visit them at the bar!
  • If the lobster tacos are available, get them. My wife once described them as "like an orgasm in my mouth."
  • Fabulous ambience, an old church converted into an upscale restaurant. Interesting combination of flavors in everything from the cocktails, apetizers to the main course. Phenomenal.
  • For A Rewarding Dining Experience, More Than The Good Food. The Setting, Staff Helpfulness, Atmosphere All Combines. Makes The Meal Memorable.
  • If available, DO NOT MISS the pork sausage/soft pretzel appetizer. It was so delicious, I nearly ordered another on the spot. The Hanger Steak is a fantastic choice for an entree.
  • If you want to feel the heat tonight, get the "heated affair". You will be breathing fire today and probably tomorrow. It's delicious but if you can't take the heat avoid this bad boy.
  • Happy Earth Day tasting hour Thursday April 22, $5 organic/biodynamic wines, $3 Peaks Organic Maple Oat Beer, $5 local/organic tastes from the kitchen!!
  • Great party spot!
  • Spring Peeper is ON TAP!! for a limited time, come try Maine's new fantastic beer
  • Very unique vibe -- built in an old Methodist church.
  • Pinot Noir, cheese selection, Duck Entre. Make Reservations.
  • Drinks are spectacular but food has been disappointing time and time again. Ambience is great. Short story.. Head there for a drink after dinner somewhere else.
  • The warm roasted vegetable salad is a great starter. And the lamb neck entree was off the chart. Be sure to ask to sit upstairs so you can have a view like this one!
  • Amazing converted building that retains a ton of its original character, plus really great food. Perfect for dates!
  • Check out Grace as seen on Drinking Made Easy
  • Great atmosphere! Church was originally built in 1857. The stained glass behind the upstairs bar was imported from Florence, Italy. The food was really good, however a bit overpriced (IMO).
  • The space is so unique. A must-see if you're in Portland-- do drinks and skip food.
