Tips

  • "My favorite place to perform in New York City! There's no better club to watch comedy on Fri or Sat nights! And you never know when someone like Seinfeld will drop by" Helen, Setup Squad
  • bc everyone could use a laugh on a Monday night
  • Nice Checkin! Ask your server nicely and maybe they will give you tickets to the Comedy Awards! (Only Available in selected NYC Comedy Clubs) Premieres on Comedy Central on Sunday May 6, 2012 at 9/8c.
  • Never take your parents to a comedy show.
  • $8 beer isn't too bad for a comedy club!
  • Best to come with 4+ people. They sit you with other people if it's less than 4... BS!!
  • Avoid like the plague if you wanna have actual fun. You might get thrown out!
  • You need to go to Gotham Comedy Club on the 3rd Sunday night of every month. Anthony Anderson hosts a GREAT night of comedy and music!!
  • Be prepared to order drinks at minimum, as this is part of the ticket pricing. Otherwise, enjoy! Suggested to attend on a weekend with a large line-up of comedians.
  • Gotham had great line ups and the food was delicious, but the drinks were outrageously expensive. $7.50 for a domestic is theft. But if you're looking for a cool comedy lounge. I recommend Gotham!
  • This club features comedians who are either on the rise or have already established themselves on the national stage, like Lewis Black, Dane Cook and Dave Chappelle.
  • This is one of New York's best comedy clubs, and you're sure to find great entertainment here. Some of the famous comedians here include Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chapelle, and Pablo Francisco.
  • The foursquare "checkin special" got me a 2 for 1 cover. Took a couple waiters/managers to know what the special was but it worked out.
  • You too can make others keel over in laughter with this quick how-to on being a stand-up comedian! http://ow.ly/60Gnr
  • Come often, you never know when your favorite stars will make a surprise cameo. They also offer 90-minute workshops if you're looking to fine-tune your own comedy skills.
  • Rex Navarrete was here, wow i'm gonna grab your bird!
  • The monthly show, Gigs N Spots, is one of the best comedy shows in the city. Hilarious comics everytime. Check it out.
  • Great comedy and good drinks.
  • Even the house comics are great
  • Be prepared to order the 2 drink minimum,, it's part of the ticket pricing. Otherwise, enjoy! Suggested to attend on a weekend with a large line-up of comedians.
