FK’s quick-service model promotes a unique, build-your-own bowl concept in a modern space with contemporary décor. “We are excited to make fresh, healthy food more accessible to the Sarasota/Bradenton community. Our success in Tampa has really motivated us to start growing our presence across South Florida and beyond,” commented Steven Lanza, Fresh Kitchen Partner and Owner. “The new Sarasota store is the first of two new FK locations opening its doors between late 2015 and early 2016. By mid-January, we’ll also have a brand new location in downtown St. Pete,” Lanza says. Fresh Kitchen’s stellar reputation among guests precedes it both in St. Pete and Sarasota. “We’re confident that our fresh ingredients and hand-pressed juices and sauces will have the same effect in the Sarasota market as they have here in Tampa…. which is happy, healthy, loyal customers.”
Lanza shares the Fresh Kitchen mission statement and goes on to provide an overview of the menu, “FK is about chef-inspired foods and cold-pressed juices, with ingredients that change with the seasons. Always made from scratch, from our kitchen to your bowl, as fast as you can point.”
Juices span a wide variety of fruit and vegetable combinations, all of which are hand-pressed and crafted in the on-site juice room. Bases range from sweet potato noodles to coconut ginger rice and kale slaw. Vegetable options include Parmesan broccoli, buffalo cauliflower, and seasonal favorites like roasted Brussel sprouts. The protein selection satisfies meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, with herb grilled steak and baked almond chicken, as well as chia seed teriyaki tofu and Ahi tuna poke. “All bowls are topped off with customers’ choice of hand-made sauces, all of which are cold-pressed and made in-house” says FK Regional Partner, Ryan Mitchell. Sauce varieties include bold flavors like creamy white ginger, coconut Sriracha, and cucumber jalapeno.
