  • Half price admission on Wednesdays!
  • founded in 1909, this zoo is the oldest in texas. great natural habitats (instead of cages) it is a better zoo than the dallas zoo but way out there in cowtown
  • Bring quarters & pennies for the "press-a-penny" souvenir coins.
  • The MOLA is awsome. Be prepared for an hour of enjoyment by itself.
  • Can be very cheap. Bring picnic lunch, bring a wagon, bring water. Bring hats, sunscreen, and binoculars.
  • Get there when the zoo opens and go directly to the amazing bird enclosure. Buy a food stick and birds will swarm you to eat. If you don't get here until noon the birds are full!
  • Get tickets at albertsons get $2.00 off
  • The Fort Worth Zoo just had a baby rhino on August 16, 2012! You can see her in the Zoos Asian Falls exhibit.
  • Early arrival when it's cool let's you see bigger animals more active
  • I would suggest that the zoo catch the thousands of honey bees at the garbage can and put them on display in a honey comb!!! Or they could make the bees check their stingers at the gate. Just sayin'
  • Better than Dallas Zoo!
  • See the new reptile and amphibian exhibit it is pretty cool!!
  • The biggest of the gorillas sat by the window vomiting in his hand and eating it over and over and over again. Quite disgusting, but entertaining as well.
  • Wonderful zoo with lots of shade and well taken care of animals.
  • Fort Worth Zoo is the BEST!
  • Try going during the week, if you go here on weekend be prepared the place is a zoo.
  • Watch the alligators while eating at the cafe. Very cool lunch view!!!
  • Bees hang out in and around just about every trash can in the zoo. Come prepared if you're allergic.

  • Hang out by the meerkats! They are a fun time to just sit and watch them!
