Tips

  • This mansion was built in 1870 by Joseph Forepaugh. He sold it to Civil War veteran, General John Henry Hammond. It was purchased in 1983 and renovated to it's former glory.
  • New happy hour is fantastic! No flabby wings and soggy nachos here.
  • Dishes visually appealing but did not deliver on taste/texture. WAY TOO SALTY. Also, we were put at small table while every other couple was put at large tables - made entire experience uncomfortable.
  • Reportedly the most haunted building in Minnesota, Unexplainable things happen at night, but it is accepted as long as nobody gets hurt.
  • Have Victor make you his special: Absinthe (though he refuses to use fire).
  • great Sunday brunch including $3-$4 drink specials!
  • Incredible multi-course brunch for $17!!!
  • Two outdoor dining spaces -- the terrace which overlooks Irvine Park, and the porch just off the bar. Both fabulous!
  • highly recommend the pan-seared walleye for dinner...excellent!
  • Haunted - restaurant beset with accounts of flickering lights, rearranged furniture, cold chills, and unexplained noises.
  • Awesome walleye and chips and poutine!
  • Beautiful house thats been converted to a Restaurant. Very Chic and Up Market.
  • Amazing food. Great wine. Beautiful atmosphere
  • The place is still supposedly inhabited by a ghost named Molly, the alleged lover of the mansion's original owner, Joseph Forepaugh, who hung herself from a chandelier.
  • Best Beef Wellington I've ever had!
  • bring great friends and a couple of good bottles of wine and you have a great time. Service and food : bad for price
  • They have mice.
  • Chef Donald Gonzalez has worked across the country: Waldorf Astoria in New York, French Laundry in California, Toque in Montreal, Restaurant Lulu in San Francisco, Tria in North Oaks, and Chambers Kit
  • The new(ish?) downstairs menu is delicious and has some surprises. Try the BBQ sandwich on pretzel bread. Tasty!
  • they have the new vinopad iPad app!
