Valentine's Day is all about love, thus making it the perfect holiday to celebrate your love for food. Out of all the relationships that have formed and been broken, our relationship with food is by far the most consistent. With that being said, I ask: "food, will you be my valentine?"

I'm dedicating this Valentine's day to one of the most amorous recipes associated with romance: chocolate covered strawberries. It's easy to order these delectable treats online, but true love is expressed through actions that include more than just the simple click of a mouse.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons heavy cream
12 long-stemmed strawberries

(You can add a variety of nuts, candies, and other treats to add a little flair)

Directions:

1. Line baking sheet with nonstick parchment paper or wax paper.
2. Rinse berries and dry.
3. Add chocolate and cream to a heat-safe bowl and place atop a saucepan with 2 inches of simmering water.
4. Once chocolate is melted, stir and remove from heat. Dip each strawberry in chocolate and set aside on wax or parchment paper to dry.
