Foursquare Tips

  • Hidden gem for authentic German beer and (hidden) Biergarten in the back - great stop on a chill sunny afternoon.
  • Featured in German Daily Newspaper "Handelsblatt" following Facebook's aquisition of WhatsApp: Mark and Jan first met here... (:o}
  • Authentic German bakery with incredible breakfast omelettes and sausages.
  • This place is totally a hidden gem. In fact, the only reason I'm rating it now is because I'm moving, but I've enjoyed the generous portions, quality food, reasonable prices & no crowds for years.
  • German pancake, german omelet
  • Bavarian Breakfast!
  • Just because they open at 7:30 doesn't mean the cook will be there.
  • Order Eggs on Schnitzel! It is the best
  • Smoked salmon sandwich is so good!
  • Share the Schlemmer breakfasts and the Bavarian breakfast and make it a great morning!
  • Please go to http://bit.ly/voteesther and vote for Esther's in the "Best German Restaurant in America" by http://www.germandeli.com until Sep 30th, 2012!

  • French toast are delicious
  • Love this little bakery! Their smoked salmon omelette is really good. Our fav is curry wurst. The ketchup is so good! Next on the list is schnitzel
  • The sausages are delicious.
  • Decent but unexceptional German baked goods. If you want exceptional you're going to have to go to Backhaus in San Mateo instead.
