  • Pet a cat! But don't pick them up. And look for the cat cemetery on the grounds!
  • so many cats, so many toes
  • Great for artists, writers and cat lovers
  • Pet the 6-fingered cats!
  • Make sure you take the guided tour, you will learn so much more than if you go the self-guided route. I really enjoyed this, made me want to read all of his books.
  • The guided tour is a must - great local stories about Hemingway's time in Key West. Otherwise the house would just be a house.
  • Check out the 6-toed Hemingway cats. If you're lucky, you'll see the black & white cat with 7 toes.
  • If you're allergic to cats, you're in trouble.
  • it's the first museum I've ever seen with cats roaming around in it :)
  • James Bond is escorted into Hemingway House by two MI6 officers to meet M and discuss his current insubordination in Licence to Kill (1989). He hands in his resignation before escaping.
  • Many of the cats have 6 toes, Hemingway picked them for that reason, well, their parents at least.
  • Superior place for Hemingway fans and cat lovers! Also you can find here the oldest pool with ocean water in Key West .
  • there's 45 cat on property. how many can u count?
  • The man saw the house. It was a good house with many rooms. It reminded him of the long days in Spain.
  • The sign says "Please don't pick up the cats." Hard to resist!
  • Love this place!
  • The cats here are polydactyl! Ask a guide for a story of how they got there.
  • Well worth the (inexpensive) price of admission. Go early to avoid the crowds. Admission gets you almost full access to the house and grounds. Pet the cats, just don't pick them up. Learn their names!
  • Definitely take the guided tour, otherwise you are just taking a walk through a house. They have the stories! Thanks to Drake, great tour!
  • Tour was great and only 30 mins. Well worth it. Quick, fun and informative.
