What Should You Leave For Santa (Slideshow)

Picture riding around in a convertible at the speed of lighting in the dead of winter with the top down. That is exactly what we imagine it'd be like riding around all night in a sleigh. Let Santa warm up with a soothing cup of hot cocoa rather than ice cold milk.

A Flashlight

We know Santa is magical, but a little help is always welcomed. So Santa doesn't have to turn on the lights and risk waking you up, leave him a flashlight so he can move around in the dark.

A To-Go Bag

Think of this as a mini emergency kit for Santa, Load up a to-go bag with extra cookies, a bottle of water and carrot or two for the reindeer.

A Warm Blanket

It is probably safe to say that in his hurry to get out of the house, he forgot a blanket for the sleigh. Make sure that you leave him something to snuggle with so he can warm up between stops.

Chocolates

The guy has already had a ton of cookies by now, give his palette a surprise with a dessert that isn't of the cookie variety. It will make your house super memorable and will likely result in cooler presents!

A Sandwich

While we know Santa's sweet tooth is is insatiable, it may be a good idea to give him something a little more substantial than sweets. A nice peanut butter and jelly sandwich (with the crusts cut off) or a hearty turkey sandwich just may do the trick!

Christmas Eve Leftovers

Whether your family has an elaborate feast or nibbles on appetizers, if there are some leftovers available leave a plate of them out. You'll make Santa feel like a part of the family!

A Magazine

While he is waiting between stops, Santa can catch up on some light reading. Leave a copy of your favorite magazine for Santa to browse while he snacks on the treats you left him.

Eggnog

Listen, even Santa can appreciate a decent nightcap. We aren't say let the man drink and sleigh, but a little nip before he heads out the door won't hurt him!

A Thank You Note

Make sure that you leave a little piece of gratitude with Santa. After taking all of that time to leave you gifts, make sure you take out the time to thank Santa for all of his generous work. Who knows, he may even write you back!
