On This Week's 'Bachelor,' Ben Made His Date Work At The McDonald's Drive-Thru

The Bachelor Ben Higgins has once again plugged McDonald's by taking contestant Amanda to spend a romantic evening...  at the drive-thru window.

The episode, which aired Monday night, showed Higgins — who previously starred in a McDonald's commercial, along with other Bachelor alums — escorting Amanda to the fast food joint in his hometown of Warsaw, Indiana.

Higgins, who has the televised ease of a young politician, tells Amanda during their date, "I thought that the whole purpose of coming to my hometown is to do the things that are normal to me, so I wanted to take you to McDonald's, because that's a normal thing for me."

Amanda, a mother of two young daughters who is probably used to making chores seem fun, pretends to be excited.

During their Egg McMuffin date, Amanda and Ben also share a French fry, Lady and the Tramp-style, and later, Amanda has to ask customers the ridiculous question, "Hi, welcome to McDonald's. Would you like breakfast or dinner today?"

On Twitter, plenty of Bachelor fans made their opinions known on the not-even-veiled advertisement:
