The Reason Kate Middleton Is Eating A Lot Of Ginger Snaps

Anyone who is even a casual watcher of the royal family knows that Duchess Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third child with her husband Prince William. For the third time the 35-year-old mother is suffering from a type of severe morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum. And it seems that she's even trying old school methods to help curb her pain, including eating loads and loads of ginger snaps.

During a recent visit to the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund for a charity reception, Prince William struck up a conversation with 98-year-old Iris Orrell, who had also suffered from terrible morning sickness as a young woman. Hello reports that Orrell told the future figurehead that only one thing helped with her pain: ginger biscuits.

Prince William agreed, saying that Duchess Kate had tried the old-fashioned remedy to help her condition, but even the dry biscuits and healing powers of ginger couldn't be of much assistance. "Ginger biscuits," he said. "But there's not much ginger can do to stop that. We've done all that."

The Prince did mention that Kate was feeling better. And after taking a bit of a break, she will be returning to public engagements again on Oct. 10. Until then, perhaps the Duchess should try one of these 10 natural ways to settle your stomach.
