How To Make The Most Of Your Holiday Table (Slideshow)

Use a table lamp as your centerpiece (wrap the cord and/or tuck it under the lamp) and surround it with mini fern plants or holiday Christmas balls. Stacked books or other favorite items will make for a homey, unique focal point.

Get Glassy

Use a glass jar (from the closet) filled with candy surrounded by mini apples dipped in chocolate and tied with licorice bows. The apples do double duty as dessert or a take-home treat!

Edible Décor

An edible centerpiece on an interesting plate, like mixed nuts in the shell, dried and fresh fruit, breads, cheese, and nutcrackers, create a colorful centerpiece that guests can nibble on.  Round out the plate with miniature pineapples, artichokes, and other fruits or vegetables for color and texture variety.

Sweet Accents

Fill jars or vases (from the closet) with candy for a simple sweet look! Containers in different shapes, heights, and sizes gathered in the center of the table are an easy and fun way to create a centerpiece. You can surround and mix in votive candles for ambiance.

Check the Attic

Use what you have! Your everyday dishes can sparkle and look festive when set upon an interesting tablecloth and centerpiece.
