Bronx Assemblywoman Carmen Arroyo booted from N.Y. primary ballot over petition fraud allegations

The New York Court of Appeals decided Thursday to overturn a ruling that would have allowed Arroyo to remain on the ballot because “the lower courts should have concluded that this is one of those rare instances in which the designating petition is so ‘permeated’ by fraud ‘as a whole as to call for its invalidation.’ ”
