15 Celebrity Party Disasters Slideshow

During the Oscars Governor's Ball after-party in 2012, Sean Young was arrested after she refused to leave because she wasn't invited. She allegedly got physical with a security guard, and was booked by the LAPD for misdemeanor battery.

What you can learn: Regardless of who you are, don't crash a party if you aren't invited. And if you're caught, it's a good idea not to get violent or you might just get arrested.

A Socialite’s Dress Catches Fire

Events held at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art are historically glamorous, and the guests always dress to impress. At the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center gala in April, socialite Jean Shafiroff wore a stunning red Oscar de la Renta ball gown — that caught on fire after she walked by some votive candles surrounding the reflecting pool at the Temple of Dendur. Fortunately, the flames were put out by a guard, but this unfortunate fiery event caused quite a scene. The star-studded guest list at the event also included Elvis Costello, Tory Burch, and Zac Posen.

What you can learn: It's the host's duty to make the event safe. Candles at floor level with gowns roaming about just screams disaster waiting to happen.

Justin Bieber’s "Weak" Birthday Party

Teen idol Justin Bieber went out with some friends to Cirque du Soir nightclub in London for his 19th birthday. His entourage, including Will Smith's 14-year-old son Jaden, were reportedly denied entry into the venue because some were underage. Bieber tweeted later that night that he had "the worst birthday" because of the episode. Bieber continued by saying, "I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn't stay at their weak a** club so they wouldn't look bad for me walking in and right back out."

What you can learn: If you're underage, don't be surprised if the bouncers turn you away — no matter who you are.

A Fight Breaks Out at Lil Wayne’s Birthday

During Lil Wayne's 30th birthday celebration in Hollywood last year, rapper 211 approached rapper The Game and started causing a scene. Reportedly, as things escalated, The Game allegedly threw a punch at 211 and a huge fight ensued. After security got the situation under control, The Game was kicked out, insuring that the bad blood between these two will continue.

What you can learn: If two people that you know are in the middle of a fight, it's best to keep them separated at an event.

A "Royal Showdown"

The scandalous fight between Monegasque royalty Pierre Casiraghi (grandson of Grace Kelly), Stavros Niarchos, and Adam Hock caused such a scene that it ended up in an emergency room, and eventually, in court. Allegedly, Casiraghi and his friends walked into a Manhattan nightclub and started drinking a $500 bottle of vodka from the Niarchos/Hock table. They were supposedly also aggressively grabbing Hock's model friends, including Natasha Poly. The situation escalated, and eventually Hock punched Casiraghi and Vladimir Roitfeld (yes, that Roitfeld's son) in the face, landing them in the hospital that night with fractures. Casiraghi and Roitfeld sued Hock for battery, and the club's owner for negligence. Regardless of what really happened that night, it's clear that Monegasque royalty and Manhattan celebrities need to tone down their tempers.

What you can learn: It's a good idea to avoid drinking other guests' alcohol, especially if they're notoriously easily provoked.

Gwyneth Paltrow Disses the Met Ball

Although the Costume Institute's Ball, commonly known as the Met Ball, is considered by most as one of the biggest parties of the year, Gwyneth Paltrow was not impressed. Even though the honorary chair was her buddy Beyoncé, she dissed the event, responding to a reporter, "I'm never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all." Paltrow's opinion matters to some, but the Met Ball will surely continue to attract a monumental celebrity attendance list in the years to come.

What you can learn: If you're a guest at a friend's event, it isn't polite to diss the party — it's simply bad manners.

Chris Brown’s Ride to the Met Ball Nearly Catches on Fire

Chris Brown's private plane almost caught on fire after taking off from Los Angeles on his way to the Met Ball in Manhattan. After noticing the cockpit filling with smoke, the pilot was able to make an emergency landing at the Burbank Airport, and the crisis was averted. His plane made it safely back to a hangar and Brown boarded another jet, making it to the event on time.

What you can learn: When one private jet breaks down, just jump into another! We kid, but if your transportation plans fall through, be ready with a backup.

Bono’s Party Gets Broken Up by the Police

During the Coachella festival, Bono attended a Rolling Stones/Patrón party, where he held an impromptu live performance. But around midnight, the police reportedly shut the party down because the hosts didn't have the appropriate permits. Other guests included Diddy, John Legend, and Kellan Lutz.

What you can learn: Even if you're a celebrity, the police can shut your party down. Make sure you have the permits to throw a rager, even if there's only the slight possibility of it getting out of hand.

Tiger Woods Is at It Again

After some unwelcome media attention about Tiger Woods' hard-partying, the golf star is at it again. At a Met Ball after-party at the Standard Hotel this year, he left at 2 a.m., and fell while walking up a flight of stairs. He was visibly intoxicated. His date Lindsey Vonn helped him get up, and embarrassingly took him home.

What you can learn: If you're already having problems with your image, it's a good idea to tone it down a notch — it's also not the best way to impress a new girlfriend.

Lindsay Lohan Has a Run-In at Francesca Eastwood’s Birthday Bash

As if Lindsay Lohan didn't already have enough problems, she also caused a scene at Clint Eastwood's daughter's birthday celebration. Last August, Lohan allegedly approached Francesca Eastwood's entourage at a Los Angeles club, and screamed, "I'm a star, she's a nobody, get her out of here!" Lohan's behavior did not go unnoticed, and security eventually asked her to leave. The drama continued outside, as her friend almost ran over the parking valet stand.

What you can learn: Don't cause a big scene, or security will notice. If you're leaving an event upset, make sure to calm down before getting behind the wheel.

Naked Pictures of Prince Harry in Las Vegas

One of the biggest celebrity party disasters of 2012 was the aftermath of a royal night in Vegas. Prince Harry was caught playing strip billiards in his VIP suite, and one of the guests took the opportunity to snap some nude shots of him that quickly circulated online. When the pictures leaked, the media expected him to be forced to issue a public apology; in the end, Buckingham Palace didn't find anything unruly about his behavior, and moved on with their business without a word.

What you can learn: Don't get naked at a party, especially if there are cameras (or even cellphones) around — just keep your clothes on.

Snoop Lion 420 Festival Shut Down

To celebrate 4/20 this year, Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) threw a massive party at a Hollywood Hills mansion. The cannabis-themed party reportedly started at 11 a.m. and was shut down by the police after multiple neighbors complained about noise and several cars blocking the road. The rapper/host didn't even get a chance to attend — he supposedly arrived at the same time that the cops did.

What you can learn: Again: permits, permits, permits.

Kim Zolciak Forgets to Pay for Her Extravagant Wedding

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak threw a lavish wedding that was chronicled on Bravo's Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding. But according to some sources, the bride never paid her party planner after the festivities were over because she assumed that the network would foot the bill. The ceremony allegedly cost a whopping $1 million, and she ended up paying for the entire celebration without any help from Bravo. She denied the rumor of refusing to pay the huge sum, and sarcastically posted to Twitter: "Gosh I owe @colincowie a million dollars! I better get to work!! #thestoriespeoplewrite."

What you can learn: Never take anything for granted. When planning a party, it's important to stay on top of every detail, including who's footing the bill.

Chris Brown vs. Drake

The drama surrounding last year's fight between Chris Brown and Drake is seemingly endless. Here's how it reportedly started: One night in June 2012 at a club in New York City, Brown sent a bottle of champagne to Drake and his friends, and an argument ensued after they shared some unkind words over their shared love interest, Rihanna. Drake allegedly ended up throwing the bottle at Brown's face, who later posted pictures of the injury on Twitter. Later, Drake's representatives denied that the rapper was involved at all, and instead blamed his friend Meek Mill for the bottle-throwing. Death threats, and some nasty remarks continue to be exchanged by both parties. They have yet to make up.

What you can learn: Stay away from your enemies at the club — it's for your own safety.
