10 Ways To Make A Party Fun With Jelly Belly Slideshow

Scroll through our slide show for ten of our favorite Jelly Belly party ideas –we've given you projects for eating, playing, and entertaining.  To entertain with these types of projects, find Jelly Belly jelly beans in bulk at candy stores, in specially packaged bags at party stores, or on jellybelly.com

Jelly Belly Candles, a DIY project:

Jelly Belly jelly beans are fun to eat and fun to see.  When placed in a translucent candle, their beautiful colors really glow! This project is hands-on in the best way (adult supervision required). Begin with a candle making kit from your local craft store – it comes with a pot & wax, which you put into boiling water.  Once the wax is melted, put a wick in the bottom of a mini candle cup or Mason jar, fill it with Jelly Belly jelly beans of any flavor (hundreds to choose from), and pour the hot wax on top. Let it cool and a beautiful, glowing surprise awaits! Watch how it's done from adorable YouTube crafter BananaJamana.

Jelly Belly Mason Jars:

Beautiful uses for Mason jars are never-ending, as are the many uses for Jelly Belly jelly beans.  One stunning way to show off your favorite Jelly Belly bean flavors is to display them in different sized Mason jars, spread out in groupings around a room. The shimmering Jewel Collection is a particularly beautiful choice to dress up the décor.  Organize by theme (watercolors, floral, jewel tones, etc.) or simply mix the flavors together for a rainbow collection.  Kids will love throwing their favorite colors into a big jar (then gobbling them up).  Tie a ribbon or personalized tag around the jars, and your craft just became a memorable party favor or gift!

Jelly Bean Cupcakes:

This project is a Jelly Belly favorite.  Everyone loves the trend of birthday cupcakes over cake – spare the plates, forks, cutting, and mess.  But nothing can replace the look of multi-tiered sweetness.  Enter the perfect solution – layered cupcake.  Kids can get in on the fun by adding Jelly Belly jelly bean trims, or simply gobbling them up in one sitting!

Jelly Bean Bark:

Festive, colorful, and chocolaty, Jelly Belly jelly bean bark is an easy, fun, and popular idea for a DIY activity that you can eat when it's done.  Kids love to help make it at a party or simply whip it up beforehand as a vibrant treat appropriate for a variety of events.  As an added bonus, the cooking process involves food coloring, which is always a hit with the little ones. All you need are Jelly Belly jelly beans in assorted fruit flavors, a bag of white chocolate chips, toothpicks, and food coloring, and you'll be "barking" away.  Click for full instructions!

Say it with Jelly Beans:

Nothing says Happy Birthday, Welcome Home, or Happy Monday better than a Jelly Belly jelly bean-designed card or banner.  Use a variety of beans to spell out the message you want to convey (we suggest heavy poster board) or simply create a beautiful design on corresponding colored construction paper.

Jelly Belly Bar:

Ever seen a shot glass full of Jelly Belly jelly beans? Ever seen a table full of shot glasses full of Jelly Belly jelly beans? You can't imagine the excitement when people spot colorful Jelly Belly jelly beans lined up and ready to be sampled.  For adult parties, match the flavors of Jelly Belly Cocktail Classics® with real cocktails like Mojito and Margarita, while kids can have fun with their own drink pairings with flavors from the Soda Pop Shoppe® collection.

Cookie Pops:

Cookies and Jelly Belly jelly beans go together like peas and carrots.  Kids have been sticking colorful beans on their iced sugar cookies since the dawn of time (OK maybe not quite that long).  Theme up this old-school idea with special shapes, or bake each on a lollipop stick for an exciting to-go party favor. Check out these Fourth of July shooting star pops or go with a Valentine's Day heart cookie with Cotton Candy Jelly Belly jelly beans. Cookie Pops are an easy, sure-fire crowd pleaser.

Snack Mix:

A little sweet, a little salty is what makes a snack mix sing. We at The Daily Meal have undertaken the difficult research of sampling numerous Jelly Belly jelly bean mixes, and after much careful consideration and arduous taste testing, we feel we've come up with the perfect assembly: popcorn, cereal, cranberries, Jelly Belly jelly beans and pretzels.  Throw in a movie and you have an ideal night.  Warning: you may never leave home again.

BeanBoozled® jelly beans:

Take the BeanBoozled Challenge. It's the game that dares you to compare. Jelly Belly BeanBoozled jelly beans are a collection of 20 paired flavors – some delicious, others disgusting, with colors that look exactly alike.  For instance, is the yellow bean Rotten Egg or Buttered Popcorn? Does black taste like Skunk Spray or Licorice? Pull a brown and it's either Canned Dog Food or Chocolate Pudding. The only way to find out is to try them! Open the lid, pull out a color, and let the kids take their chances.  They'll giggle with delight as they guess before trying (and possibly gag when they figure it out).  At the end of the day, what do little ones love more than talking about boogers and barf? Having an adult party? Grown ups certainly aren't above a good prank, so record away, either for posterity or to have some fun on YouTube.

Piñata Cake:

Ever seen a piñata cake? You slice it open and out pours delicious candies of all colors and shapes. Life. Changing. Event. Oh, and kids go bonkers for it – as long as it includes Jelly Belly jelly beans. This confection has all the fun of the original candy surprise without any of the why-the-heck-won't-this-piñata-break-someone-get-a-bigger-bat frustration.  Simply bake four layers of cake in 9" cake pans and frost each (we like a classic vanilla cake with chocolate frosting).  Place one layer on the bottom, and for the middle two layers, cut a whole in the center, which can be filled with your favorite Jelly Belly jelly bean flavors.  Top off with the final layer of cake.  Frost all the edges, and prepare for oohs and aahs from the crowd as you slice it open.  Pictures and instructions are helpful – check out Sally's Baking Addiction for a step-by-step.
