Where To Celebrate National Guacamole Day 2016 In Atlanta

National Guacamole Day is this Friday, Sept. 16 — if you didn't know, it's time to start making your happy hour plans! We love this holiday dedicated to avocados paired with a few cervezas or margaritas.

Atlanta has tons of great Mexican restaurants to get your guac on — here are a few of our favorites:

Alma Cocina
This popular Mexican spot is located downtown, perfect for a pre-concert margarita or some tacos after a Falcons or Hawks game. Alma Cocina will be serving up its famous salsa and guacamole platter this National Guacamole Day, including a unique watermelon guac plus a trio of salsas.

The Original El Taco
This Atlanta staple has a location in Virginia Highlands, as well as at the airport, so you can grub on some guac whether you're in town or jet-setting for National Guacamole Day. The covered patio at El Taco is the perfect place to celebrate the end of summer with a cold beer in hand.

Red Pepper Taqueria
Red Pepper Taqueria has some of the best weekly specials in Atlanta, and they're pulling out all of the stops for National Guacamole Day. Check out specials on guac, drinks, and even oysters (you can never have enough!) at one of Red Pepper's two Atlanta locations.
