P.J. Whelihan's debuts seasonal dishes

Enjoy limited-time, seasonal dishes at P.J. Whelihan's Pub and Restaurants.

The menu additions, which debuted a few weeks ago and continue through the end of September, include starters such as fried chicken sliders and Buffalo calamari (both $8.99); and other hand-held items such as crispy beef tacos ($9.99), a maple bacon chicken sandwich ($9.99) and Monster Mozzarella Burger, topped with golden mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce ($11.49).

The last of summer's bounty shines in two limited-time salads: grilled chicken and peach, served over mixed greens, tossed with champagne cider vinaigrette and topped with candied pecans, cucumber and blue cheese crumbles ($11.99); and Tex Mex grilled shrimp, tossed with lemon barbecue dressing and topped with sweet corn, avocado, quinoa, black beans, bell peppers and queso fresco ($12.99).

There also is a limited-time wing flavor, Ragin' Cajun, and dessert, Butterfinger Bananza (vanilla ice cream sundae loaded with crushed Butterfinger bars, caramelized bananas, caramel and chocolate sauce).

The selections are available at all 14 P.J. Whelihan's restaurants in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including four Lehigh Valley locations: 1658 Hausman Road, South Whitehall Township; 4595 Broadway, South Whitehall Township; 3395 High Point Blvd., Hanover Township, Northampton County; and 101 Harrity Road, Franklin Township.
