The Daily Dish: Spaghetti Doughnuts Are The Latest Food Hybrid Out Of Brooklyn

Spaghetti Doughnuts: The Latest Food Hybrid

After the burger/burrito and the croissant/doughnut, one might have thought that the world of food hybrids was out of ideas. Now, however, the carb-loving geniuses at Brooklyn's Pop Pasta have made a doughnut out of spaghetti. If you thought Chrissy Teigen was a jack of all trades, you haven't seen anything yet. The model, mother, and cookbook author is adding "plant manager" to her resume with her role in Vita Coco's newest ad. In the spot, Teigen's fictional role involves keeping track of the "employees" — aka the coconut trees — through micromanaging and not leaving their side. "That cake is so fun — we tested so many versions," Ansel said in a statement. "Different-sized balloons to hold different amounts of helium, weighing every cake by the gram to see how big we could get it until it stopped floating. The testing was hilarious."

Any of the coffee chain's more than 5,000 employees will be able to simply punch in an order on his or her phone and stop by a "walk-through" window to pick it up at either of the headquarters' two internal cafés — all without having to wait in any line. If all goes well, this completely digital store design could go national.
