8 Outrageous Athlete Celebration Receipts Slideshow

The Dallas Mavericks

After winning the 2011 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat, the Dallas Mavericks celebrated with a party fit for the history books. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban reportedly picked up check for the evening, which put him back a whopping $110,000. One partygoer snapped a photo of Dirk Nowitzki, the Finals' MVP, drinking from a $80,000 bottle of champagne. The celebration, which took place at the Fontainebleau Hotel, included an estimated 100 bottles of champagne in addition to the lavish display of food and other libations.

Dez Bryant, The Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys receiver, Dez Bryant, reportedly paid a heavy price during a training camp hazing ritual for rookies. Bryant's teammates supposedly relied on him to foot the $54,894 dinner bill after a luxurious meal at Pappa Bros. Steakhouse in Dallas.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Nascar

December 30, 2009 is a night to remember for the estimated 800 folks who decided to swing by the Whiskey River bar in Charlotte, N.C. Nascar superstar, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., the bar's owner, who was in a particularly thoughtful mood no doubt, picked up the tab for every drink ordered between 8 and 9 p.m. The final tally for the bill was not publically disclosed, however employees of Whiskey River reported that the tip was quite generous.

Lamar Odom, The Los Angeles Lakers

The story goes that happily married couple, Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian, met while attending a party hosted by Khloe for Ron Artest, who had recently been traded to the Lakers. Sparks reportedly flew between the lovebirds that evening, and Lamar picked up the $3,000 tab. Clearly Khloe was impressed.

The Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers arranged to ring in 2010 with a party hosted at Osteria de Medici in Calgary, however, when the team and their guests allegedly forked over $12,381.45 on a bill totaling $16,796.39 (before tax and tip), things started to get a bit heated. The Oilers claimed that they were charged individually for shots instead of by the bottle, and that they had agreed on a set menu while planning the party. The restaurant's management argued that the team should pay for a bottle of imported brandy that one of the players took a swig from, since they would not be able to serve it to future guests. Ultimately the two sides came to an amenable agreement, the details of which have not been publically disclosed.

Raheem Brock, The Seattle Seahawks

The outrageous nature of the scandal surrounding the Seattle Seahawks defensive end Raheem Brock is less about the tab itself, and more about the situation at hand. The first reports published claimed that Brock was arrested on June 17 for refusing to pay a $27 bill at Copacabana restaurant in Philadelphia.

However, Brock explained the story to TMZ in more detail the following week, claiming that he and a friend placed their order at the restaurant, but then they went across the street to order a cheesesteak, which sounded more appealing to Brock's friend. The two allegedly returned to Copacabana, where they cancelled their order before heading out. When the cops arrived moments later, Brock reportedly offered to pay $40 for the $27 tab, but was subsequently arrested.

Bryant McKinnie, The Baltimore Ravens

While attending a party hosted for the NBA All-Star weekend this March at MyHouse night club in Los Angeles, the Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie allegedly racked up a bill totaling more than $100,000. Sources reported to TMZ that McKinnie bought 15 bottles of champagne, among plenty of other food and drink.

The Boston Bruins

Reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Boston Bruins, celebrated their victory by racking up a $156,679.74 at Shrine nightclub at Foxwoods Casino. The team reportedly started the evening's festivities with food and bowling and then moved to the bar, where the receipt's highlights included 136 Bud Lights and nine bottles of Grey Goose vodka (costing $600 a bottle).
