  • Go, but refuse to sit in the rediculously short chairs in the front.
  • Great mixologists and an extensive drink menu. Don't confuse this place with your typical restaurant/bar -- they have great jazz bands that play throughout the week as well.

  • The cocktails here are fantastic. They take a while to prep, but are worth it. Get one. Or five.
  • Stick to the cocktails and nosh menu. Skip the full on dinner with entrees.
  • has got a great history be sure to ask them about it.start with the Velpar (an even drink of all equal parts). bite on some croissant with fondue. split the quail and lamb+venison burger.
  • Ask the staff for drink suggestions, too many to feature on the menu.
  • Blue burger! Hands down best burger I've eaten.
  • Avoid on Saturday nights. Overcrowded to the point of a fire hazard.
  • Jason Stevens, bartender at Bar Congress, says ESSR has an incredible cocktail program, expertly executed food, and incredible decor.
