Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte Has Officially Returned

Let's cut to the chase: Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte — the reigning ruler of all pumpkin products — has officially returned to stores. The fall favorite, made with real pumpkin, is the coffee chain's top-selling seasonal beverage of all time. It's been ordered more than 350 million times since its launch in 2013.

This year, autumn items across the board debuted earlier than ever — from pumpkin spice cooking spray to pumpkin spice deodorant. But when Starbucks finally let the black cat out of the bag on Twitter on Sept. 5, it was immediately obvious that PSL remains a national crowd pleaser.

"I would like to not only thank God but Jesus," wrote Zoie Taylore.

"I've had it iced already but I can't wait for it to be cold so I can get it hot and snuggle up," said @Erickamarielove.

"YAAAAAAAAS QUEEN I MISSED YOU!!!" wrote @HolaJoseCarlos.

'Tis not such a happy season for some baristas, though. In a Reddit forum titled "It's coming. God help us all," frenzied posters discuss the war-like onslaught of PSL orders.

One comment reads, "We, who are about to die, salute you."

Though Starbucks employees may have been dreading the imminent release of PSL, it's no question that the beverage will continue to prosper. On the other hand, here are 10 times pumpkin spice went too far.
