The Denver Greek Festival celebrates the signature cuisine and culture of the Mediterranean June 15 - 17. The Denver Greek Food Festival includes food buffets, gift shops, live music, and performances by the Hellenic Dance Academy of Denver.

The menu is multi-course and showcases a savory selection of authentic Greek eats that will please aficionados of Greek food and introduce newcomers to the heartiness of Greek flavors.

Festival-goers can sample appetizers such as lemon and oregano chicken wings served with tzatziki sauce or Saganaki, a flaming brandied Kasseri cheese. Entrees include traditional delights like Greek salad, souvlaki, gyros, spanakopita, orzo, and lamb sandwiches. Those seeking a more adventurous Greek culinary experience can try tiropites, dolmathes, keftedes, or pastitsio, a layered pasta dish topped with béchamel sauce.

Dessert includes filo dough pastries, such as baklava, ekmek, galaktobouiko, and thiples, which are homemade and smothered in nuts, honey syrup, and whipped toppings.

Admission is free to the event and guests can purchase food with coins that cost $1 each. Dishes range in price from two and seven coins.
