  • Iif you're about drop $13 on a pre-packaged salad STOP, WALK OUT, and walk 3 blocks east to Parm on Mulberry between Prince & Spring and get their $14 chopped salad ($1 more and 100x more delicious!)
  • There is this one fellow there with glasses and curly hair that arguably is the happiest, most energetic human being I've ever seen. He makes coffee like he's performing a piano sonata.
  • the charcuterie station has the best lunch deal in the store: Seven Dollar Secret Sandwich. salami or prosciutto on a baguette with oil/vinegar. at $1 per you can add any cheese or antipasto inside.
  • Secret sushi tip: head to the back sushi station and you can ask for a sashimi platter. Any 7 pieces of fish you want and they make it on the spot. Amazing service and super nice sushi makers too!
  • they don't mess around with extra cream cheese.
  • "I am the best soup ever created. My flavorful broth is loaded with shrimp and noodles. All other soups shall kneel before me" - said the Creole Soup on a cold winter day.
  • Ordering a sandwich? If you're not asking the guys behind the counter to heat it up for you, you're a dummy! Warm sandwiches are delicious sandwiches.
  • Don't be fooled by the picture, this coffee is terrible.
  • Killer Breakfast Sandwich Alert! The Black & White - egg whites, tomato and avocado on pumpernickel. It's delicious and if you squint, maaaaaaybe not terrible for you.

  • Grab some fresh fruit at the original Dean & DeLuca.
  • Wikipedia says: "Bisque is a smooth, creamy, highly seasoned soup, classically made from lobster, crab, shrimp or crayfish." Translation: "the lobster bisque ain't got no chunks of lobster!"
  • no soup for you.
  • I recently discovered their half a bagel with cream cheese, tom, lox, dill and capers (to the right of the prepared foods counter). This is my new goto lunch.
  • Cajun Red Bean soup is out of this world. Consider asking for 2 of the small pretzel rolls.
  • If they have the gumbo, get the gumbo. Huge pieces of chicken, sausage, and shrimp in a rich soup.
  • What's great when it's 90 degrees outside? The gazpacho. Slightly spicy, super refreshing, and goes great with that sandwich you were going to get anyways.
  • Whenever I feel that Whole Foods is too cheap, I go to Dean & DeLuca to pay thrice as much for the same groceries.
  • This D&D carries Doughnut Plant doughnuts. Try the Tres Leches doughnut. Amazing.
