  • This sleek bistro offers haute-cuisine versions of home-cooking favorites. Their theatrical and legendary DB Burger is rich, well travelled, charred in the right places, and a little bit jaded.
  • Apparently recession-proof, the famous short rib, truffle and foie grasstuffed sirloin burger still remains on the menu.
  • Their burgers are a foie-gras and red wine-braised short rib-stuffed creation served on a parmesan roll. It was a sandwhich created on a lark that instantly became the restaurant's signiture dish.
  • make sure someone expenses it.
  • Recommended: the Lobster Salad.

  • Daniel Boulud's French-American mashup restaurant with great bistro fare alongside burgers and fries.
  • I can't recommend breakfast here. Coffee is great, very dark, but food is surprisingly ordinary. You'll pay $25 for three small pieces of soggy French toast or $22 for a bowl of oatmeal w/ berries.
  • Not a good place to dine alone. They don't have a bar to dine at.
  • Try the French toast. It is light and crispy with a tangy-sweet syrup and delicious dips. Unlike any I've ever had!
  • Amazing croissants, duck and lobster; the yogurt is extremely fresh as well.
  • If you like attentive service then you'll appreciate db bistro moderne. Do this: Skip the foie gras burger and save yourself the disappointment. There are many fine menu choices & a superb wine list
  • A must-order: the legendary db burger, a sirloin patty filled with braised short ribs and foie gras. Don't miss the croque monsieur with duck confit, figs and goat cheese, either.
