Foursquare Tips

  • Try out a veggie burrito! Make sure you have it dipped
  • Don't eat yellow snow
  • Lots and lots of free comedy at The Creek!! All the time! super-friendly staff to boot!
  • The Creek and The Cave is three things in one: a bar, a Mexican restaurant, and an alternative comedy lab, incubating the most promising joke-telling talent in town.
  • Update: They've gotten better... grilled shrimp tacos are really yummy. Head to the garden and grab a Tecate in the summer.
  • Tacos so good even us Cali transplants have no complaints! And since it's 2 blocks from our office, you can't blame us for coming here every other day for lunch!
  • If you ever decide to try out the 7 train & make it out to Long Island City, be sure to pop into The Creek and The Cave for a set of stand-up comedy and a plastic cup of Magic Hat beer.
  • One of the two cats in the bar is feisty...can never remember which one! Good luck!
  • Great spot for free comedy! Don't miss the pinball machines downstairs!
  • Brunch is about $10 and comes with a complimentary alcoholic drink. Be sure not to miss out on that opportunity!
  • Great MARGS! 2 for 1 during happy hour (3-7 M-F)!
  • Many, many open mics available for those working on their stand-up.
  • This slick but unpretentious taqueria draws artsy young locals to its brick-walled, tin-ceilinged space. Throughout the summer, this LIC spot screens movies, shorts and recorded concerts.
  • Eat everything and laugh at everything.
  • A great neighborhood joint.
  • Very bougie but the drink specials are respectable.
  • Add pork to the baja quesadilla!
  • Midnight happy hour 7 days a week? Goodbye day job.
