Move over coconut water, there’s a new super drink in town

Some people swear by coconut water — salty, sweet and full of electrolytes. Others can’t stand it. If you are one of those people who hate the flavor of coconut water, don’t worry, I have good news. There’s a new wonder water that you might love: monk fruit water.

Monk fruit water is sweet (rather than salty-sweet like coconut water) but contains no sugar, calories, fat, or carbohydrates. It is known to work as am anti-inflammatory and natural antihistamine, and because it is sugar-free it is safe for diabetics to drink. Known as the longevity fruit, monk fruit water is also thought to battle fatigue.

To make monk fruit water, you simple boil one piece of organic monk fruit in two liters of water for 20 minutes. The drink can be enjoyed hot or cold.
