  • This restaurant was funded as a kickstarter project. I just love that. The food is also awesome.
  • Duck rillettes are fantastic & cheap. Hearty snack.
  • Even if you are so full that you can't even consider dessert, you need to order the "Date Cake" -- it's like lick-the-plate-clean-good which is exactly what we did and it was weird.
  • Order many small plates, like this cavatelli with beef ragu, then split hanger steak as your main. If there's a long wait, head across the street to Long Island bar for killer pre-dinner cocktails.
  • Fried Brussels sprouts with bacon and cranberries. Yum!!
  • probably the best shrimp and grits I've ever tasted. and if you're having it for breakfast, you can Put An Egg On It.
  • The Cool Hand Cuke is absolutely wonderful!
  • You can't go wrong here. Favorite new spot. The steak, duck rillette crostini, deep fried brussell sprouts and bacon, pork belly and pickled radish and Cool Hand Cuke cocktail were all amazing. Do it.
  • Have some ricotta on toast to begin, mushrooms or a steak if available, and a date cake you can walk off with a hike down Atlantic Avenue, to Brooklyn Bridge Park.
  • Fantastic addition to the hood. Eat everything, ESP the rabbit rillette!
  • Hostess kind of looks like Zoe from House of Cards, right???
  • Shrimp and grits. Always.
  • Day or night, order an orange juice. It's cool, creamy, and frothy. A spa treatment for your alcohol-beleaguered gullet.
  • Go with the Biscuit Benedict for brunch. The hollandaise is delicious.
  • Try the Bloody Mary - amazing bloody mary
  • If a garden could grow a fresh, delicious cocktail, it'd be the "Cool Hand Cuke". Unique, tasty & a perfect drink to sip as you wait for a table (they don't take reservations, but the wait was fun).
  • Try the chocolate torte for dessert with thevmoscato dessert wine for a great finish!
  • In principle, it's great they have a Gotham Project cab franc on tap. In practice, not so much
  • Apparently Feb 21 was the FIRST DAY EVER they offered their burger w/ a duck egg... and it's the most delicious thing ever. (beware: a little sloppy tho)
  • Try and sit at the kitchen counter in back - it's much more entertaining and you will appreciate the craft more!
