Tips

  • The garden was moved here to its current location which is also where the original Cleveland Metroparks Zoo was in 1966. Today you can still see bits of the bear pit.
  • The Hershey Children's Garden here is the first public children's garden in Ohio and one of just a few in the nation. Check out the wheelchair-accessible treehouse, cave and dwarf forest.
  • Absolutely beautiful!!! A treasure in the city. Kids thought it would be boring but in minutes were smiling and enjoying all the gardens and exhibits.
  • Explore the exotic worlds of Costa Rica and Madagascar in the Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse. Also, enjoy 10 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, including a rose garden and a Japanese garden.
  • Love this place at Christmas time to see the entries in the Gingerbread House contest-amazing!
  • Visit a collection of 10 gardens including a childrens garden & Japanese garden. Fun, relaxing & educational for the whole family. Admission is $8.50/adult & $3/child or $65 for a family membership.
  • Observe a wide array of bird species and animals including tortoises and ducks that are hiding in and amongst the foliage.
  • The Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse at the Cleveland Botanical Garden has exquisite views and architecture that will awe you. While you are there you can see the spring blooms and relax outdoors.
  • Awesome place to distract kids for a couple hours, who knew?!
  • GLOW... Lovely.
  • You don't need a membership, nor pay for entry fee to eat at this little hidden cafe. They have a selection of wraps, salads, soups, the fattest Rice Krispie treats and the most decadent brownies.
  • I simply love the gingerbread house contest during the Christmas season-awesome!
  • Did you know? You can visit the deserts of Madagascar and the Costa Rican rainforest at the Glasshouse - find 350 species of plants and 50 species of insects and animals from the two exotic locales.
  • Nice garden. Lots of butterflies in the Glass house
  • The Botanical Garden is a beautiful distraction in The Land, just make sure to make other plans, moreover, youll be here for an hour or two tops especially during the winter.
  • Cleveland Cactus & Succulent Club is having their annual show and plant sale. Many Super Deals!
  • It is a bit expensive, but worth it in my opinion. The gardens are fairly extensive, and the indoor habitats are lovely. I went during a tree house exhibit and that was super fun!
  • Great to see Gingerbread houses created during Christmas Season & Great Mother's Day event.
  • It is nice to visit here, but not more than 1,5 hours at most! 11 $ entrance is a bit too much for this.
  • Be sure to go to the Midwest Cacti & Succulents event. Good prices, beautiful displays. While you're there check out the butterflies. Such beauty, my absolute favorite.
