The oldest surviving gay bar in San Francisco has heavy pours and a decent collection of alcohol. Friendly staff and patrons crowd the bar, and there's a patio out back for smokers.

  • I'm straight, but this is hands down my favorite bar in San Francisco. I've been here every visit and it never disappoints.
  • From out of town, thought this was one of the sweetest bars I hit while visiting, staff is too adorable

  • Charlie Horse hasn't actually happened here since spring of 2010 but its still a really fun place. I lived in SF two months in 2010 and went here often. Smoking patio out back!

  • When @ The Cinch, you like banging balls, make sure you put a buck into the pool tables(2) and grab a stick, and bust um up !
  • Seriously, the bloody marys are phenomenal.

  • Warm + friendly bartenders, hot men with great asses prancing + preening on a TV screen, and a laid back vibe makes this one of my favorite SF stops for the curious or just plain thirsty.
