  • Close to the castle a Norse king of Dublin built Christ Church Cathedral (c. 1030), which was replaced about 140 years later by a Norman structure. It was restored in the 1870s at enormous cost
  • You MUST have coffee in the crypt! Surprisingly good espresso.
  • If the weather is good, grab some fish'n'chips and have a nice lunch on the outside lawn
  • Extended hours in the summer, if you go right before closing, you can get great pictures without people in them.
