Tips

  • Salt "air" is the perfect topping for a margarita, just the right balance to the fresh squeezed citrus. And don't even get us started on the homemade churros with Mexican hot chocolate...
  • China meets Mexico & had a food baby.
  • Quite possibly the freshest guacamole we've ever tasted. They slice the avocados to order and make each batch just for you. (Seconds on chips anyone?)
  • Best Guacamole EVER and the Carnitas Tacos are the best!! :)
  • Order a little from each side of the menu with a group of friends.
  • Don't choose between Mexican or Chinese tonight. Order the hyper-creative taco "Tierno": soft beef tendon, Kumamoto oyster scallions, Sichuan peppercorn sauce. It's the perfect fusion.
  • Jose Andres's Chinese-Mexican restaurant in the Cosmopolitan has great food options, but there's one cocktail that makes the visit really worth it: the Salt Air Margarita.
  • You gotta try the Papas Fritas with Mole! An awesome mix of flavors!!
  • When Pigs Fly steamed dumplings are made fresh all day long. You can watch them being made if you sit at the bar. Very good fusion food! Terry is an amazing bartender/mixologist! Ask him for tips!
  • Jose Andres at bargain prices for Vegas. Ideal meal: guac, habanero sauce, carnitas (with pork rinds) and viva china (oyster) tacos, shrimp mojo, chicken ji song, and a bunch of Micheladas.
  • Try the Ahi Tuna Ceviche
  • The chilaquiles is delicious
  • Explore the fusion of east and west with a Viva China Taco - a combination of beef tendon, kumamoto oyster, scallions and peppercorn sauce drizzled with Mexican chipotle salsa.
  • Try the Swallow a Cloud
  • Flying pig buns with sweetened condensed milk
  • The best seat in the house at Jos Andrs' excellent Cosmopolitan Hotel Mexican-Chinese mashup spot is at the counter, where you can watch chefs assemble dim sum like pork sui mai and har gau.
  • The pork buns with the sweetened condensed milk were one of the most interesting flavor combos I've ever had. Highly recommended!
  • Best margaritas ever. Also try the 20 vegetable fried rice...awesome :)
  • Friggin love the decor!!
  • Mexican and Chinese cuisines live side by side as an amusing mix of elements from both traditions. Enjoy a signature dessert, the Terra Cotta Warriors, which resemble the famed Chinese statues.
