Chicago Hosts 3 Food Fests This Weekend

This weekend in Chicago is a busy one for festival and food lovers alike. If you fall into either or both of those categories, you should definitely check out one of these great events.

Windy City Smokeout
The Windy City Smokeout is back for its second year, bringing the best in BBQ and country tunes. Local restaurants Bub City, Smoque, Lillie's Q, Chicago Q, and Dinosaur Bar-B-Cue will be serving up Chicago's best against out-of-towners Pappy's Smokehouse, The Salt Lick, and Pride & Joy Bar-B-Que. Also in attendance will be Myron Mixon, former World BBQ Champion, and star judge of Destination America's "BBQ Pitmasters;" whose fare is not to be missed.

Roscoe Village Burger Fest
The annual Roscoe Village Burger Fest will be taking place Saturday and Sunday. If a burger is what you crave, you'll find the best at this street festival. Look for Rockit Burger Bar, Cortland's Garage, DMK Burger Bar, and many more. Live music will be accompanying the eats at two stages all weekend long.

Taste of Chicago
One of the Second City's best known food fests, Taste of Chicago runs from Wednesday the 9th through Sunday the 13th. Big name acts like Jeff Tweedy, Janelle Monae, and AWOLNATION are will play as some of Chicago's most prominent restaurants and food trucks present some of their best dishes to the attendees. Grab a classic like Rainbow Cone or get spicy with Iyanze. Pop-up restaurants like Kamehachi and Taco Joint will offer something special alongside the vendors.
