- the fried cheese curds taste deliciously unhealthy. have them.
- With a kitchen turning out impeccably smoked meats and more than 150 bottles of whiskey behind the bar, we recommend the delicious Pork Nuggets and Shrimp & Grits.

- Delightful southern food with some nods towards barbecue, plus an excellent bourbon selection.
- We love the Classic Cask 20 year, but at $150 for 2oz, it is a little pricey. For something splendid without the high price, try the Woodford Reserve. If whiskey isn't your thing, they also have wine.
- Cannot stop thinking about the poached eggs and bacon cheddar grits. You must order them for brunch. Solid biscuit too.
- Taste the best of Southern-fried Brooklyn at lunch here with a brisket sandwich or a hot bowl of jambalaya. Featured in Where to Eat 2011!
- Popular brunch options include the biscuits Benedict with house-smoked ham and poached eggs; buttermilk pancakes with marmalade and pecan butter; and the poached eggs with bacon cheddar grits.
- Everything on dinner menu was good but true winner were bacon/jalapeno cornbread & honey butter
- Order the Nor'Easter', a delicious whiskey cocktail whipped up by Sean Josephs. If you've ever had a Dark n' Stormy, this cocktail is definitely for you.
- Don't get the oysters. Do get the fried pork balls.
