Tips

  • The vege-tofu curry soup with soba noodles is delicious as are the goma-ae and cha-ya roll! If you're unsure of what to order, ask your waitress; They're friendly and helpful for navigating the menu.
  • Get the curry soup with soba noodles!
  • get any of the udon
  • Go here for dinner and try to do a full meal without ordering any of the fried stuff.
  • The vege tofu curry is seriously incredible. Dat broth.
  • Order the Vege-tofu curry with udon and slurp up all that delicious broth. YUM.
  • I just ate the best udon soup I've ever had. Definitely try the mushroom udon.
  • The vege-tofu curry with udon noodles is ridiculously amazing. You can't go wrong with it.
  • Like doilies? Get the vegan cake to-go.
  • There is so much choice here that it's almost overwhelming for the typical veg*n who only reads a small subset of the menu. I often go here to satisfy noodly cravings.
  • i love the special miso soup and the shira-ae salad. their tempura is great too.
  • this place is pretty expensive for ghass poos
  • Not open until 12:00 noon for lunch.
  • Yasai soba was very light and fresh. You can't go wrong with the sushi either.
  • The vegan Japanese restaurant's namesake dish (the Cha-Ya Roll) is a sushi roll stuffed with asparagus, avocado, yam, and carrots, battered and tempura-fried, then drizzled with a sweet sauce.
  • Are you concerned veggie sushi you've had at other restaurants may have touched dead fish? No worries here - it's all vegan! And plenty of choices!
  • Vegan heaven
  • Sea vegetable salad, 3 types of seaweed with mysterious delicious shit on top
  • Poor reception. Good soba salad.
  • The miso soup here is delicious. It's the best miso soup I've had! Nice and warm on a cold SF day and extremely flavorful!
